University of Nebraska-Omaha Switches to Chocolate Milk

Packed with the protein and carbohydrates your body needs to rebuild muscle, PBCM has always known that chocolate milk is a great way to refuel after a hard workout. The athletes and coaches at the University of Nebraska-Omaha can’t help but agree.

Once the 350 athletes at UNO made the switch from traditional sports drinks to chocolate milk, they didn’t look back. Every week the University is supplied with 1,600 cartons of chocolate milk, and as part of what has become a crucial component of their training, the athletes drink two or three cartons after each workout. Since the introduction of chocolate milk into the athlete’s diets Dave Noonan, UNO’s strength coach, has noticed a definite improvement in post-workout recovery time.

The benefits are undeniable, just ask UNO track and field athlete Madison Haughland. “It’s good for your stomach, it’s good for your bones and it tastes good,” says Haughland, “I like it.” At PBCM, we know you will too.
