The Cascade Cycling Classic is the longest consecutively run elite road bicycle racing stage race in the United States. It’s based in Bend, Oregon and takes place in the Central Oregon region. For most of North America’s top cyclists, the race is a yearly fixture. Read story

Enbridge Ride To Conquer Cancer
May 31, 2011This year, the Ride To Conquer Cancer races for its third year in Vancouver, BC. The race takes place June 18 and 19, 2011 as riders take the journey from Vancouver to Seattle. The two-day fundraising cycling event raises money for research and better patient care with all the funds going to the BC Cancer Foundation.
Cycling BC Kicks Off the 2011 Season
May 30, 2011Cycling BC represents the full range of disciplines including Road Biking, Track & Cyclo-cross, Mountain Biking and BMX. On May 28th, they celebrated their official 2011 team launch at Jack Poole Plaza, the site of the Olympic Cauldron, in downtown Vancouver. Currently, the team boasts dozens of committed youth, as well as two 2012 Olympic hopefuls, and a world cycling champion.

A Certain Shade of Heartbreak for Some Canadian Racers at Pan Am Juniors
May 12, 2011Sunday April 17, the races at the 2011 Pan Am Juniors in Mar del Plata Argentina came to a close. It was a hard fought battle that weekend – two+ inches of rain fell in 40 minutes during the race, making the roads greasy and filled with debris. With winds up to 50+ kph, the women were put to the test for a long 60 km. Still, Canadian cyclists remained focused on the end line and although with good time, some racers expected more. Read story
Canada Qualifies for Medals at Junior Pan Ams
April 15, 2011Mar Del Plata, Argentina, is currently hosting top junior cyclists from April 11th through April 17th, 2011.
Alison Beveridge, set the quickest time in the morning session of the 2km individual pursuit 2:35.3., and is now going for Gold. Canada’s Sprint team also made it through to the Bronze medal round later this Tuesday. A great display of Canadian talent was seen throughout the races.Read more… Read story
Canada’s Tara Whitten Wins Gold at World Track Cycling Championships
March 29, 2011Canadian cyclist Tara Whitten won gold this weekend at the 2011 Track Cycling Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. This is Tara’s second consecutive win at this event. On her win, Tara comments, “to be able to defend the title means a lot.” Read story
Canadian Women’s Cycling Team Races this Week in 2011 World Championship
March 24, 2011This week, on March 24th, the women’s Canadian cycling team will take the spotlight as they compete in the Team Pursuit race for the 2011 World Championship in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. Head Coach, Richard Wooles, announced the women’s squad earlier this week. The members are Tara Whitten (Edmonton, AB), Laura Brown (Vancouver, BC) and Clara Hughes (Glen Sutton, QC.
